The goal of the Educational Advocacy program is to help students remain in the public school setting with the necessary support and services to allow them to learn and graduate with their class.
Early intervention into student problems is the key element in maintaining educational progress and required skill building. Educators are on the front line with students and should be instrumental in initiating outside intervention. Educators working with parents can reduce the need for advocacy and crisis intervention.
The advocacy process is intended to create an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation when these necessary factors have been lost due to increasing unresolved problems.
